Privacy Policy

Solace is a voice-first platform for real conversations. This policy explains, plainly, what we collect and why — under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the IT Rules.

What we collect. Your phone number (kept only as a one-way hash), your age range (to confirm you are 18+), gender, alias, languages and region, device identifiers and push token, and IP and usage logs — the minimum needed to run the service and to stop banned users from re-registering. Listeners also provide bank or UPI details and PAN at their first payout, for tax. We keep call records (participants, time, duration, coins); we never record the audio of your calls.

Why we use it. To sign you in, connect your calls, process payments and payouts (including tax), keep the community safe, meet our legal obligations, and improve Solace through aggregate analytics.

Who we share it with. Only the providers that make the service work — payments and payouts, authentication and notifications, and call infrastructure — and the authorities, when a valid legal order requires it. We never sell your data, and we never use it for advertising.

How long we keep it. For as long as your account is active. Inactive accounts are removed unless the law requires otherwise; financial and tax records are kept for the period the law requires; banned accounts are retained to prevent fraud. We never store your payment credentials.

Your rights. You can access, correct, or erase your data, withdraw consent, and raise a grievance. Write to contact@solaceapp.in — we acknowledge within 24 hours and respond within 15 days. If you are not satisfied, you may appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee (gac.gov.in) within 30 days.

Solace is intended for users 18 and older, and our infrastructure is hosted in India.
