Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 June 2026 · Effective: 26 June 2026

This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") describes how EMEF Technologies (OPC) Private Limited ("Solace", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and discloses your personal data in connection with the Solace platform (the "Platform"), in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the applicable Information Technology Rules.

1. Information We Collect

We collect and store your phone number to create and secure your account, verify your identity during sign-in, prevent fraud and abuse, recover your account when necessary, and provide customer support. We also collect your age range (to confirm that you are 18 or older), gender, alias, languages, region, device identifiers, push notification token, IP address, and usage logs as reasonably necessary to provide and improve the Platform. Where you choose to provide an email address, we collect and store it to help secure your account, facilitate account recovery, respond to support requests, and communicate with you about your account where necessary.

Listeners additionally provide their PAN before going online, and bank or UPI details before their first compensation remittance. Listener identity and tax information is collected solely for identity verification, fraud prevention, payout processing, tax compliance, and applicable regulatory obligations.

We retain call metadata (including participants, start time, end time, duration, Coins consumed, and transaction identifiers). We do not record or store the audio content of voice calls. When you use in-app messaging, we store the content of your messages to deliver the service, enable conversations, maintain the safety of the Platform, investigate abuse or policy violations, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable law.

2. Purpose of Processing

We process your personal data to sign you in, connect your calls, process payments and compensation remittances (including tax), maintain the safety of the community, detect fraud, payment abuse, policy violations, and other security incidents, comply with our legal obligations, and improve the Platform through aggregate analytics. Listener compensation information is collected solely for processing platform-funded compensation, tax compliance, fraud prevention, and regulatory obligations.

3. Disclosure of Information

We disclose your personal data only to the service providers that make the service work — namely payments and compensation, authentication and notifications, and call infrastructure — and to the authorities where a valid legal order requires it. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Cookies, SDKs and Device Technologies

The Platform may use software development kits (SDKs), device identifiers, and similar technologies necessary for authentication, notifications, analytics, fraud prevention, and service delivery. Solace uses your browser's session storage to keep you signed in; it is cleared when you sign out or close the tab. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Third-party services we rely on — such as anti-abuse verification (reCAPTCHA) and payment processing — may set their own cookies that are necessary for security and to complete transactions.

5. Security of Information

We implement reasonable technical and organisational security measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. While no system can guarantee absolute security, we continuously monitor and improve our security practices. Access to listener identity verification, payout, and financial information is restricted to authorised personnel and trusted service providers who require such access for identity verification, payment processing, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or other legitimate operational purposes.

6. Payment Information

Payment transactions are processed by authorised third-party payment service providers. Solace does not store your complete debit card, credit card, or net banking credentials.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and meet tax or regulatory requirements.

8. International Transfers

Our core infrastructure, voice-call servers, phone verification, and payment processing operate in India. Certain supporting services operated by Google — such as reCAPTCHA anti-abuse verification, analytics, crash and performance reporting, and push notifications — may process limited data on servers located outside India, under appropriate safeguards and in compliance with applicable law.

9. Your Rights

You may access, correct or erase your personal data and withdraw your consent. To make a request or raise a concern, use Help & Support in the Solace app. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data unless we are required to retain certain information for legal, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or regulatory purposes. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee (gac.gov.in) within 30 days.

10. Eligibility

The Platform is intended for users 18 years of age and older.
